August of 2019: $750,000.00 settlement with City of San Diego for creating dangerous condition causing knee and wrist injuries to client;

Our client walked out of this business at the end of the day and stepped into a large hole left behind by City of San Diego surveyors who were conducting a property line survey in the area. The surveyors claimed they only had to excise 1-2 inches of dirt to expose the survey marker and that they filled it back in before they left and that it may have been a construction crew working down the block that left the hole exposed. Our client eventually underwent a knee replacement. After a very contentious and hard fought litigation, the defendant increased their offer right before trial.
